UT Austin offers many educational programs and services for people other than degree-seeking students. These programs include classroom instruction and instruction delivered to remote locations, both credit and non-credit. The level of instruction ranges from postgraduate to collegiate to secondary school. Certificates, credit towards baccalaureate degrees, and certain master's degrees as well as high school diplomas may be earned through these programs.

Continuing and Innovative Education

Continuing and Innovative Education (CIE) at The University of Texas at Austin celebrates 100 years on our campus — 100 years of serving the educational and personal enrichment pursuits of students through high-quality, innovative programs and services. Through the combination of the Division of Instructional Innovation and Assessment (DIIA) and the Division of Continuing Education (CE), CIE creates a dynamic organization addressing the needs of all 21st century learners. CIE brings together in one organization experts in assessment, teaching, and technology with renowned educational programs.

Continuing Education

Continuing Education extends the rich educational resources of the university to all of Texas and to the world. CE offers relevant courses, services, and programs to students ranging from preschoolers to mature adult learners, all seeking educational and personal enrichment opportunities. Individuals, corporations, state agencies, and non-profits have all benefited from the breadth and depth of CE expertise.

Division of Instructional Innovation and Assessment

The Division of Instructional Innovation and Assessment (DIIA) is the university's central resource of research-based, technology-enhanced learning. DIIA supports the university's disciplined culture of excellence and innovation by collaborating with all colleges, schools and units to research and implement best teaching practices, innovative instructional technologies, and effective assessment methods.

Texas Union Informal Classes

The Texas Union offers fun, educational, and dynamic informal classes. The short-course format allows you to try out a variety of classes without a large time commitment.

UT TeleCampus

The UT TeleCampus (UTTC) is the support center for online learning within The University of Texas System's fifteen component campuses.

Videoconferencing

The UT System Video Network serves the fifteen UT System peer institutions with interactive videoconferencing capabilities.

Satellite Programming

ITS provides satellite uplink and downlink services for educational and cultural programming, news, and videoconferences.
